eBackpack:
In an effort to cut down of photocopying and to provide a place for all students to access class materials we will use this web based application. Most of the assignments we will be working on in class can be found on eBackpack. Every student has an individual login and password. If they lose these they can see me and I can reset them.
Grading:
Grading will be based on the following:
Summative (70% of total grade). This will be major assignments such as tests, quizzes and projects. It is a chance for your children to show what they have learned.
Formative (20% of total grade) These will be some homework or classwork assignments that are "check ins" for understanding.
HOW's (10% of total grade) This stands for Habits of Work and will include some homework and classwork, being prepared for class, being productive, being polite, being on time, completing homework on time, etc They will get a one time trimester grade on their Habits of Work.
